Only one more day to go for the soap opera that has been around since the early 1970′s. Erica Kane will soon fade from memories, and the next generation of children will probably never know what the word “soap opera” or “All My Children” means. That’s probably for the best.
But meanwhile, I sit here this week watching the last five episodes of “All My Children” and despite all the hype, I gotta say I’m sorely disappointed. They’re brought back to life a few fun people, which is nice, but other than that LAMMO! LAMMO! LAMMO! Everything is all “oh, isn’t life grand” and “oh how great NOW we can have a baby” or “Oh my god this person isn’t really dead”. Maybe I’m disappointed because I’m not the true fan base the show is writing for this week. But come on guys, how about a cliffhanger, or a murder, or bring back from the grave someone really awesome! Anything to make it a little more interesting.
Anyhoo, tomorrow’s the last day, we’ll see what they do…but at this point I’m not expecting much. Bummer.
